Milestone Dressage Show- A Huge Success!
Saturday May 6 Campbellville On.
Milestone farm hosted it's first dressage competition of the year. Sunny but cold weather did not deter the "record" number of entries from bundling up with coolers and borrowed coats (courtesy of Allan and Cheryl Ehrlick).
The show started at 8am with a full class of riders in the Walk-Trot dressage division, followed by the training Level Entries that began at 9.
Don Barnes of Hamilton Ontario judged the competiton with his winter parka at C.
12 horses competed in the training Level= 24 rides, followed by 2 competitors at First Level= 4 rides.
3 Entries vied for placings at 2nd and 3rd level= 6 rides. 4th Level boasted 2 entries, and 1 rider at Prix St. George.
It was great to see old and new faces from as far away as Chicago, Leamington, and London.
From the years that I have ridden at Milestone, this was probably one of the largest dressage and sport horse days we have seen in Region 18!
After the dressage, a full slate of Sport Horse in hand and under saddle classes were held. The show finally wound down at 4:30.
Sorry, I am missing the scores, but will post pics and scores as they become available.
If you have any scores or placings, or photos that you would like mentioned on the blog, please e-mail them to me at insectfree@sympatico.ca
