This is a message from Bill Bailey about the sucesses of our Arabian Horses at the Canada South Primary Show in Leamington on June 25th:
We attended the Canada South primary show in Leamington this past weekend & I have some good resullts to report for the AHAEC site. The show had about 40 - 45 horses competing. The Arabians did very well. Mikayla Kudroc was champion in Training with Cameo with scores of 68.? & 71.?. The 2nd level was won by Holly Fahringer on Korus (67.9 & 71.?) with Lauren and ESP Two Moon Junction+/ taking reserve (66.8 & 63.2) in a class of 8. It was an impressive day for the Arabians.

More Dressage Member News

From Diane Brooks:
Well FV Just Doc (aka Pico) did it again. He was first in our freestyle with
67.5% and second in our test 3 with 62.5% at the show last weekend at
Brookside. It was a Primary Cadora dressage show. Despite the extreme winds,
dust and heat he pulled through and was once again a star. He's such a good
boy.:-) I just love my little Half Arab

Make sure that your entries are in for Milestone! The show is next weekend; July 1st for Dressage and Sport Horse with judge Jennifer Klemm.

Look for a feature about AHAEC members competing in Dressage at Open shows in the next issue of the rider.

Please Dressage members; send me your show results, and pics so that I can put them on the blog and send them to publications. :)

AHAEC Dressage Members Place Well at Trillium Shows

Pictured: Elaine Ward and KF Almaz+// at the Glanbrook Cadora Trillium Show in Brantford - Notice there is NO mud!3

Pictured: Diane Brooks and Pico at the LDA Trillium Dressage Show on Sunday- yes, the 2 locations are only 1 hour apart!

AHAEC Dressage members competed in the Ontario Trillium Dressage Circuit competitions this past weekend.
Here are a couple of e-mails that were sent to me this morning with their results:
From Diane Brooks:
Thought we might have seen you yesterday at the LDA show. The conditions
were sloppy in two of the rings due to Saturday's rain but FV Just Doc (aka
Pico) is a mudder. He was a star again at the show. We came first in TR test
3 with 67.9% and in our freestyle first place as well with 64.4%. In the
freestyle he was whinnying to my other horse the whole time and then he
threw in a lovely flying change in our canter right. Unfortunately we didn't
get bonus marks for that.:-)
From Bill Bailey about his daughter Lauren and ESP Two Moon Junction:
Lauren's results were Lev. 1 Test 3 - 62.00, Test 4 - 61.67 , Lev. 2 Test 1 - 57.89, Test 2 - 59.72. The Lev. 2 Test 2 was the only test done in ring 1 but she was not accurate in a lot of the details which cost her. The other 3 tests were done in a lower ring that had 6 - 8" of mud throughout with a lot of standing water. The judge was not very considerate of this to all competitors. The test sheets had the same comment about 20 times that the horse lacked energy & wasn't forward enough. In retrospect I don't know if it was worth while going in to the ring. There were a number who didn't. It was a rather frustrating day. I hope your day was better.
My day was pretty good. KF Almaz+// and myself competed at the Glanbrook Cadora Trillium Show in Brantford. At least we did'nt get rain! Except for when I was warming up. As soon as I entered the outside of the dressage ring, the sun began to shine! Here are the results for Almaz:
Elaine Ward and KF Almaz+//
Training Level Test 1 Open: 1st Place 66.81%
Training Level Test 2 Open: 1st Place 65.00%
First Level Test 1 Open : 1st Place 62.59%
First Level Test 2 Open : 1st Place 65.29%

So all in all, AHAEC members did very well in open Dressage competition!
